"Portraits of Photographers"
from Friday, March 6, 2015 to Saturday, April 4, 2015
Galerie XII Paris
Florence Gruere sees beyond the portrayal of a face; she gets a glimpse into thoughts, dreams, joys, in a word at souls. If photograph is the Art of light, she reveals the inner light of her models.
She has chosen to print her photographs on an Aquarelle Velin d'Arche paper using a hundred year old technique carbon print technique invented by John Pouncy.
Among the fourty prints featured in the show, a large number of portraits of major Photographers of the XXth century (Brassaï, Man Ray, Bill Brandt, Kertesz, Cartier-Bresson, etc) as well as portraits of Artists for whom Ms. Gruere has a particular feeling. -
