Galerie XII Paris is pleased to introduce Mona Kuhn's new solo exhibition, KINGS ROAD. The exhibition includes photographs, a video projection and a sound installation. This first gallery show has been preceded by a series of museum exhibitions in the USA (Art, Design & Architecture Museum UCLA Santa Barbara, USA) and Europe, including a three-story installation at Kunsthaus-Göttingen (Germany) organized by Gerhard Steidl in April 2023.These exhibitions, with their multimedia and sound installations, push the boundaries of the presentation of photography and architecture. For over 20 years, Mona Kuhn has used photography and media art to re-examine figurative discourse around the physical and metaphysical presence of the human figure. Through her lens, Kuhn invites viewers to contemplate the subtleties of our existence, revealing the hidden depths of our common humanity. For her latest exhibition, Kings Road, Mona Kuhn has taken on the subjects of love and destiny as her main subject of study. The series is set at the Kings Road House, built by architect Rudolph Schindler in 1922 in West Hollywood.
