from Saturday, September 28, 2024 to Sunday, January 5, 2025
Palais du roi de Rome (Rambouillet)

Having exhibited in Paris, Shanghai, Arles, Los Angeles and Porto, French photographer Nicolas Baghir will present his exhibition “Perturbations photographiques” at the King's Palace in Rome from September 28 to January 5.

He is known for his works that blend photography and painting, creating dreamlike and veiled images that flirt with melancholy. He has also produced portraits of Jamaican singers and urban landscapes. His main series is Perturbations numériques, the fruit of four years of research and 15,000 shots.

In his work, Nicolas Baghir superimposes several layers of photos, textures and colors, playing with contrasts, lights and shadows. His aim is to create poetic, timeless atmospheres that invite viewers to journey into his imaginary world. These images are shrouded in mystery, and have the power to seem intimately destined for those who contemplate them. In conjunction with the exhibition, the Palais du Roi du Rome will be organizing a number of events, including guided tours, workshops for younger visitors and an aperitif with the artist.
